  1. Using the flat screwdriver, remove the brew group diffuser screw and screen. Using the 3mm hex wrench or flat screwdriver (depending on the type of screws used on your espresso tap), remove the 3 screws that attach the bayonet ring to the brew group.   2. Using a small flat screwdriver, gently pry the old gasket free from the brew group. Now is a great time to scrub the exposed brew group clean.

    • Apply a small amount of silicone plumbers grease to the inside and outside diameter of the new gasket. This lubricates and aids the gasket in sliding into position.

  3. Position the new gasket around the group, and slide it into position inside the groove. Push the gasket into the groove until it is at least flush with the outside ring on the brew group.

  4. If possible, apply a small amount of rubbermax thread sealant to the three screws that attach the bayonet ring. This prevents these screws from backing out during normal use. Install the bayonet ring in the orientation shown, using the same three screws.

  5. Insert a portafilter into the brew group several times to completely seat the gasket. Using a flat screwdriver, re-install the diffuser screen and screw that were removed during the first step.
