take module out of service
-
remove joy pad by pulling it away from the module
-
remove encoder knob by pulling it away from the module
-
remove the screws securing the USB interface to the front of the module
-
-
-
loosen the 2 securing screws holding the terminal block to the back of the front panel
-
-
-
hold the terminal block in place while turning the power switch back and forth slowly
-
pull on the switch while you turn
-
if the switch doesn't disengage, loosen the terminal block mounting screws more and repeat step
-
-
-
fold terminal block out of the way for service
-
remove the 6 screws holding the front panel in place
-
remove the front panel for service
-
-
-
disconnect the temperature probe leads, flow meter leads, low voltage phoenix connector and pump control connections
-
-
-
disconnect brew valve wiring at terminal block
-
disconnect brew valve exhaust tubing
-
disconnect boiler outlet tube and brew valve to manifold tube connections
-
-
-
disconnect pump outlet to T fitting tube at the pump
-
disconnect the boiler inlet tube fitting at the boiler
-
remove pressure transmitter assembly and disconnect the pressure transmitter from the T fitting
-
clean residual permabond from the threads
-
fold the pressure transmitter out of the way for service
-
-
-
remove the flow meter to pump tube
-
remove the water inlet to flowmeter inlet tube
-
turn the module upside down to remove the 3 flowmeter retaining screws and extract the flowmeter
-
-
-
loosen T fitting to boiler inlet tube fitting for adjustment
-
use a small amount of Loctite 567 on the fitting threads before installing the adapter fitting
-
use a small amount of Loctite 567 on the pressure transducer threads before securing adapter fitting
-
Add capillary tube to the pressure transducer assembly
-
-
-
stage the pressure transmitter with bracket and mark the spot the bracket will be bolted down
-
you will be drilling from the bottom side of the module, transfer the hole measurements to the underside of the module
-
-
-
Use a metric #30 drill bit to carefully drill a hole where your mark was placed
-
tap the hole using a 4mm - .70 (#30) tap
-
-
-
mount the pressure transmitter assembly to the frame
-
with T fitting loose, install the boiler inlet tube and connect the capillary tube to the T fitting connector
-
mind the electronics as you adjust your fittings and tighten securely
-
-
-
stage flowmeter tubing but keep the connections hand tight for now so you can make adjustments
-
place flowmeter assembly in the module in line with flowmeter mounting holes and adjust tubes as needed to fit properly
-
remove flowmeter assembly to finish tightening flowmeter fittings
-
-
-
reinstall the flowmeter mounting screws and make final adjustments to the tubing securing loose connections
-
-
-
assemble check valve on the pump to check valve tube
-
note the direction of the check valve
-
when routing tubing, note that the check valve to pump tube should be on the inside of the flowmeter to T fitting tube
-
-
-
-
with the pump tube hand tight from previous step, lift the check valve up and attach the rest of the tubing
-
tighten check valve tube connections
-
tighten connection at the pump
-
-
-
reuse copper tubes from the old brew valve
-
assymble valve peripherals, note the arrow on the valve body when building the assembly
-
note the angle of the solenoid boot for an easy install
-
-
-
secure the brew valve drain tubing into the quick release
-
tighten boiler outlet and manifold connections
-
connect brew valve wires, match grey and red wire colors in the terminal block
-
-
-
reconnect wiring connections
-
When reinstalling the terminal block, give attention to accommodating the new tubing around the existing wiring as needed
-
give attention to the wiring around the new plumbing, bend tubes to fit well
-
-
-
Secure the USB interface to the front panel for reinstallation
-
secure front panel
-
reinstall encoder and joy pad
-
-
-
tighten terminal block screws, but not completely, leave them a little loose
-
install the main power switch by keying in and twisting
-
finish tightening the terminal block screws
-
-
-
test for leaks and shorts
-
finish putting the panels back on and put module into service
-
level up
-
