Introduction
suppliment to the AV pre-install guide - to be completed by contractors prior to equipment installation.
-
-
Use the preinstall guide during the planning and build out phases of your cafe for a proper install.
-
Equipment technicinas should verify the pre-install guide has been followed before attempting to install equipment
-
-
The bar should be dry, well-ventilated counter area meeting the preinstall guide counter specs
-
If installing multiple taps, leave 14" (355mm) between center holes
-
Cabinet space should have a proper depth to allow clearance around modules as per the pre install guide
-
Shelves or a wire rack should be provided to support each module.
-
Allow 1 sq foot (300x300mm) within 5 feet (1.5m) of the module for external pump.
-
Cabinet should not have doors concealing modules.
-
-
-
Each module requires an accessible 3/8" quarter turn shut off valve (or equivalent for your market)
-
the water line should terminate to a 3/8" compression fitting for each module
-
Pressure for each module should be between 35 and 70 PSI (2.5-5 bar) with a flow rate of at least 2 gallons per minute. If pressure is too high i.e. >70psi, (5 bars) pressure regulator is required.
-
-
-
The equipment side drain connections are male ¾" barb connections which requires a ¾" armored drain hose (5'/ 1.5m) is included with your system.
-
Open gravity drain of minimum 1.5"(38mm) interior diameter located within 5 (1.5m) feet of module(s).
-
Drain must be located lower than the placement of the bottommost module in your Modbar system. There must be no less than 1" per foot (25mm per 300mm) downward slope in drain line.
-
-
-
The electrical requirements are 208-240 Volt single-phase, 50-60hz supply with 20 amp per module. (Subpanels are useful in multiple module installations.)
-
All modules will be supplied with an appropriate plug on the power cord. NEMA 6-20P (North America). Schuko (European territories) Type G (UK /Middle east) Type I (Australia / NZ). Each module is provided with a 6 foot (2m) power cord exiting machine from the right-hand side. Location of electrical supply should take this into account.
-
The receptacle should be no further than 5 feet (1.5m) from the modules, with the electrician responsible for installation of the appropriate electrical receptical.

-
The installation template comes with the Modbar AV equipment. Use the template to plan the equipment installation.
-
Check template for accuracy before use

-
-
-
Tighten drain barb to drain tray
-
create a water tight seal around the drain tray with a food grade silicone
-
Allow time for the caulking to set before continuing the install
