Unpack your new steam module and tap from their shipping containers.
-
-
-
Cut countertop using provided templates. Note that M6 bolts are not required for mounting the steam tap, as it does not see the same rotational force as the espresso tap.
-
Apply Alex Plus or equivalent acrylic latex or silicone caulk to the bottom of the tap before installing the tap into the counter as shown. Use your finger to wipe away an excess caulk (wetting your finger will help make a smooth caulk line).
-
-
-
Install the washer and then the retaining nut below counter.
-
Finish tightening the retaining nut with a pipe wrench, if available.

Modbar modules are shipped with a molded cable, 6-20P male plug end and IEC C19 female end. The IEC C19 end plugs into the module, and the 6-20P male end goes to the appropriate wall 220V 20A wall socket. Make sure that the power is off before plugging the cord into the wall and module.
-
-
-
Place module in the desired location under the counter.
-
Connect water inlet and drain tubes, turn on water supply, and check for any leaks from the water inlet line and connections.
-
-
-
Connect tap steam connections to the module. Ensure that the tube seats completely into the tap push-connect fitting.
-
-
-
Plug in the power cable into its receptacle.
-
Turn the power switch to the left-hand position (counter clockwise), to allow the module to prime before heating.
-
The module's boiler will fill until the fluid level fills approximately half of the sight glass.
-
-
-
At this point it is safe to turn the switch clockwise to the right-hand position and heat the boilers. The machine will be ready for use in approximately 5 minutes.
